Massage Therapy is a therapeutic option to soothe injured muscles, stimulate blood and lymphatic circulation, encourage the body’s own healing process and provide an increased sense of physical awareness and emotional well-being.  Registered Massage Therapists have the ability to safely manipulate the body with pressure, tension, motion and vibrations to help relieve physical strain, reduce injury-healing time and act as an excellent form of preventive health care.  Whether you are in pain and need therapy or you just want to relax and unwind, we can help.

Please note that all appointments begin with a brief consultation to ensure a safe treatment.

Treatments available include:

Lymphatic Breast Massage

Lymphatic Breast Massage is performed within specific, gentle massage techniques that are applied to the breast tissues in a systematic fashion to enhance both lymph and blood flow through and out of the breast tissue. This helps to improve the health of the breast tissue. Lymphatic Breast Massage can be used for lymph edema as well as in conjunction with the treatment of breast cancer.

Myofascial Release

Myofascial Release involves techniques that manually stretch and release bonds between the fascia (a thin layer of tissue that surrounds the muscles) in efforts to eliminate pain, and increase range of motion and equilibrioception.

Pregnancy Massage

Massage Therapy will help to ease some of the stress and discomfort by assisting the body during its transition and in the post-partum phase of pregnancy. After delivery, whether it is by Caesarian Section or vaginally, a woman’s body needs time to recuperate and again Massage Therapy can help the healing and recovery process.

Hot Stone Therapy

Hot Stone Therapy combines massage with the use of warm basalt stones coated in oil to enhance general relaxation. The heat from the stones increases the circulation in the tissues to help them heal and further relax. The treatment is extremely effective on decreasing hypertonicity (tightness) in the muscles.

Swedish Massage

Swedish Massage uses five techniques to achieve all the benefits of Massage Therapy. The five basic techniques are Stroking, Effleurage (light, long, flowing strokes), Petrissage (kneading), Tapotement (rhythmic tapping) and
Vibrations. Swedish Massage has shown to be helpful in reducing pain, joint stiffness, and improving function in patients with various musculoskeletal dysfunctions. In addition, aromatherapy can be added to this treatment to
enhance the effects of the massage with the use of different essential oils.

Trigger Point Therapy

Trigger points are hyperirritable spots, usually within the muscle or its fascia (a thin layer of tissue that surrounds the muscle). The location on the body may be tender to the touch and may exhibit a predictable pain referral pattern that can cause tightness in the affected muscle area as well as a completely different area of the body. Specific manual pressure is applied to these points in the
form of Trigger Point Therapy to reduce pain and discomfort.

Low Intensity Laser Therapy

Low Intensity Laser Therapy is our latest addition to fulfill our vision, mission and goal. This is a painless treatment used to restore normal cell function, and in turn, normalize bodily functions. The founder of Meditech International Inc., Dr. Fred Khan said it best, “Our basic objectives are to significantly improve/cure the multiple pathologies that we encounter in the shortest possible period of time. Guidelines to that end consist of the elimination of pain and pharmaceuticals and the restoration of normal mobility and quality of life.”
